Golden Hour Walks
As summer rolls along I am grabbing every single moment I can outside. Early morning, evening, high noon, starlit nights—whatever, whenever. Outside is my best place, the place I feel the most me. And one of my favorite times to be outside walking, is the Golden Hour.
It occurred to me recently that regardless of where we are on our tiny beautiful planet, we all have Golden Hours. Talk about connectivity! No matter where you live—in the bustling streets of New York or the serene rice paddies of Bali; the Golden Hour graces all corners of our magnificent planet. It's that magical time when the sun, like an artist's brush, gently strokes the sky with hues of gold, orange, and pink, transforming the mundane into something extraordinary. Something extraordinarily good.
During the Golden Hour, even the most nondescript locations awaken with a surreal charm. A dreary cityscape dons a cloak of warmth, transforming the concrete jungle into a mystical realm. And in the great outdoors, Nature begins the closing rituals of the day. Birds return to the nest or rookery, bidding farewell to the sun on their flight home. Some forest dwellers bed down for the night while others awaken and stretch in the sunset, preparing for their nocturnal rhythms. City, town, suburb, desert, mountain, river, ocean all have a cycle, a dance, repeating and circling. How absolutely gorgeous!
I believe the Golden Hour is an international diplomacy envoy. It unites people from all walks of life, transcending borders and cultures, offering us a moment of serenity amidst the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. Picture this: a Parisian artist painting the Eiffel Tower, a Brazilian footballer celebrating a goal, and a Japanese sushi chef preparing a masterful dish – all basking in the same golden light that brings out the good in everyone and everything.
So, wonderful Walking Woman, wherever you may be in this vast world, I urge you to take a Golden Hour walk. Embrace its international allure and find solace in the breathtaking beauty it bestows on you and on me. Remember, even though we may be miles apart, we're both under the same golden spell at this wondrous hour.
Perhaps tonight, as the Golden Hour begins, step outside into its beauty, take a deep breath and know you are connected with many, many other beautiful souls enjoying, appreciating and celebrating this golden gift from the planet.
Here's wishing you many more awe-inspiring, Universally connecting Golden Hour walks, filled with beauty, joy, and all the good life has to offer.
